Woman Rights

I watch Oprah's show today and today one of the slot is discussing about this lady name Gloria Steinem. I don't have any idea what is so special about her but finally i discover that she did make lots of changes and she does give an impact to all the women's life in this world including me. They did talk about marriage and this is what she said, "Someone asked me why women don't gamble as much as men do, and I gave the commonsensical reply that we don't have as much money. That was a true and incomplete answer. In fact, women's total instinct for gambling is satisfied by marriage". I feel this is totally true, the moment a woman have a relationship with a guy, they always give everything to satisfy the guy that she loves, never care about what is in return. All they want is the person to love her back. This is totally gambling. Another thing when she touch that most of the women thinks that marriage is the one and only way to change their life. But they never thinks about the thing that are going to face after marriage. For me this totally gambling. I never realize this matter and this totally change my thinking about marriage. She is true about a woman without a man is like a fish without a bicycle. I always worried the moment I saw most of my friends already get married and engangeg and my family members always ask me to get marry but when the moment I heard she said "At my graduation, I thought we had to marry what we wished to become. Now you are becoming the men you once would have wished to marry". She inspire me to change my life, instead of searching a guy who can complete myself, and keep on waiting and waiting which I am not really sure when, she inspire me to change myself to be better and not to hope to a guy to make ourself a perfect person. Yes, it is true also when she also mention about "Marriage works best for men than women. The two happiest groups are married men and unmarried women". I am not against marriage. I would be happy if a guy will purpose me, but like I mention before, why we have to gamble our future and life just for the word "I am married". So single ladies out there, don't be upset about being single. At least you are not becoming slave to the marriage. For me, marriage is not the subject that I love to discuss at the moment. Yes of course I want to get married but I just leave this to His hand.

Tune Hotel Downtown Penang

on 1st April, me and another two o9f my college officially start operating the BDC (Bureau de Change) CIMB Tune Hotel Downtown Penang. We was excited and manage to do sells yesterday. In the morning I came and met the manager of the Tune Hotel Mr. Danice and had our breakfast at the Ole Stall. I had a cup of Latte and a croissant. And they gave me 20% discount since we are working there also. Did also asked the manager on the occupancy for the day and he said, they will be opening 4 floors out of 7 floors they have. Total of rooms are 258 rooms with 7 rooms with single bedding and the rest is double bedding. The 7-eleven also start operating the same day and my friend Ayu went to buy a bottle of mineral water. They gave her a small packet of gift due to the new opening. What and interactive way to attract new customers.

My friend Azran told me that the Tune Hotel gave a cap to every guest who stay there yesgterday. Should ask one from the manager. I noticed that the Hotel front liners are all young and energetic which suits the hotel concept, fresh and easy going; which all hotels should be practicing also. Young and as what Malay people always say "sedap mata memandang". The roomrates are low and the price is affordable. For me, it's the best place to stay if you want to spend more time hanging around the island more than just staying in the room. The hotel location is very stetegic and guess what, it is next to the New World Park Penang. So easy to get food.

We also had our Western Union training yesterday and will only start operating the service maybe around middle April. So for those who wants to exchange money, please do visit us where our rates are reasonable and comparative to the local money changer. See you there.

“Mari Berbuka Puasa” (charity event)

Last Monday (22nd September 2008)  we had a charity event (berbuka puasa) and we invited the children from Pusat Pemulihan Dalam Komuniti. We really had a great time that night. Not only free makan but also i was touch by the children's behaviour. If you do notice, the one picture of me taken by this cute chilcd. I already ask his name but too bad my memory is not that good. I already forget his name. Huhu~ He was so hyperactive and he was so excited. Not excited to eat (not like me) but too excited to jump into the pool!!! Luckily my friend Jude manage to catch him before his feet can even touch the water.

And his adopted mother (which is not married yet) loves him so much and take care of him like her own son!!! (masih ader lagi org yg berhati mulia) Alhamdulillah~

And Edzil, my friend was about to cry when he hug the child. Don't be sad edzil, one day you will get a son. So cute as you are. Hahaha. Ok la for now. Cheers!

FRIENDS

A friend is like a flower,
a rose to be exact,
Or maybe like a brand new gate
that never comes unlatched.
A friend is like an owl,
both beautiful and wise.
Or perhaps a friend is like a ghost,
whose spirit never dies.
A friend is like a heart that goes
strong until the end.
Where would we be in this world
if we didn't have a friend.
